Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take a class about happiness? Quartz reported over a quarter of the undergraduate class at Yale signed up to take “Laurie Santos’ happiness class” in one semester. Laurie Santos is a Professor of Psychology at Yale University. You too can take a version of this 4 week course, The Science of Wellbeing, for free on Coursera. The course was recorded in Santos’ home and consists of 1 topic a week, covered by a lecture and a few readings per topic.
We talk about creating good habits that go along with doing pleasurable activities (behavior points) and increasing or maintaining positive emotions (mood points). By taking this course you could find new and fun ways to maintain your positive emotions and possibly earn some behavior points for taking steps toward mastering this course!
