Mood Lifters is an innovative program that was developed by researchers at the University of Michigan. The Mood Lifters program brings together small groups to discuss and implement strategies to improve their mental health and overall well-being. Our goal is to help people live the life they’ve always wanted: one with deep meaning, less anxiety and depression, more joy and contentment, and better relationships.
Mood Lifters is not therapy. It is a mental wellness program led by people who benefited from their past participation. It was designed to help everyone—from people who are experiencing significant anxiety and depression, to those who simply want to learn new strategies to help them thrive.
Mood Lifters founders Patricia Deldin and Cecilia Votta were college and high level travel team athletes, respectively. They know the ups and downs of commitment to athletics, and the impact of losing that identity through injury.
